HELOTES, TEXAS, August 20, 2010—Helotes authors Les Coalson, Diana Fidone-Griggs, Cynthia Leal Massey, and Esther Locascio will participate in a multi-author book signing on Saturday, September 4, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Helotes Creek Winery, 14237 Old Bandera Road. The book signing will be held in conjunction with the monthly Helotes Marketplace when more than 80 vendors sell their wares in Helotes’ Old Town District.

Helotes Creek Winery will provide a free mini-bottle or glass of wine for each book purchased and there will be a music and barbeque event starting at 6 p.m.

Les Coalson is the author of Sever the Darkness and The Color of Blood. Both novels, set in Texas, address environmental concerns with highly entertaining plotlines. Sever the Darkness showcases a Texas Ranger investigating a murder and involves the impact of heavy tourism on the Guadalupe River. The Color of Blood received a 2009 Reviewers Choice Honorable Mention Award for fiction by Reader Views. Take a wild journey through untamed parts of the Texas Gulf Coast tracking the whereabouts of a missing environmentalist and his fiancée.

Diana Fidone-Griggs is the author of Whispers and Roses, A Journal of Healing from Cancer. Fidone-Griggs describes how her faith provided the courage to abandon traditional chemotherapy to embrace a God-centered holistic approach, giving the reader a bird’s-eye view into her personal journal and path to recovery.

Cynthia Leal Massey is the author of Helotes, Where the Texas Hill Country Begins, the first comprehensive history book about the town that is home to the world-famous John T. Floore Country Store. She will also sign copies of her WILLA award-winning novel, The Caballeros of Ruby, Texas, called by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Larry McMurtry, “a vivid picture of the Rio Grande Valley as it was fifty years ago… and a very good read.”

Esther Locascio is the author of The Haunting, Ebram’s Story: Book 1, a middle-grade mystery. Twelve-year-old Ebram Casas-Treski, the new boy in school, discovers that things are not what they seem as he gains self-confidence through new friendships and goals.
